Top 5 Summer Flex Lease Convertibles: Stylish Rides for Sunny Days

Leasing cars for the summer

The weather has finally started to improve, and this also means that the summer cars can soon be seen on the Danish roads again. We have found 5 cars that are worth considering as a summer car. All the models have been on the market for more than three years, and it is therefore possible to find cars that are economically advantageous to flex lease. With flex leasing, the lowest tax rate is paid when the car is 36 months old. If you are taxed on a free car, it is an additional advantage that the car is over three years old, as you are therefore not taxed on the new price.

BMW 4 Series Cabriolet

The BMW 4 series is one of BMW’s newer model series and was introduced to the market in the years 2013-2014. The convertible has been available since early 2014 and is thus exactly 36 months old. The model is stylish and in a Coupé design, which provides sharp competition to Audi’s A5, among others. If you choose BMW’s M sports package for the model, the 4 series only becomes more aggressive to look at. If you are thinking about leasing a 4 series, be aware of which engine variant you choose. The earliest models include the 420d (184 HP), 428i (245 HP), or 435i (306 HP). The larger diesel variants such as the 430d and 435d are only available later in 2014 and therefore have a few months of high tax on flex leasing.

Audi A5 convertible

Audi’s A5 is by now a model that has been on the market for many years. The interesting one, however, is the model from the years 2011-2016. There is a large used car market here with good opportunities to find a car that is advantageous for leasing. The A5 is, like the 4 series, a larger and stylish convertible with room for four people. If you are considering an A5 cabriolet, then possibly go for a model with an Alcantara interior and an S-Sports package inside and out. The sports package gives both the interior and the exterior a very sporty look, and the price difference on used models is often not very large when you flex lease.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class needs no introduction. It is one of Mercedes’ best-selling models, and it is of course also available in an open version. The model received an interior facelift in 2011 and a further exterior and interior facelift in 2013, which you should be aware of. If you are considering a Mercedes-Benz E-Class, it may be worth looking for a model with a lot of equipment. For example, look for multi-contour seats, Comand Navigation, AMG sports package, and Distronic (adaptive cruise control). With flex leasing, the equipment is not particularly decisive for the price, and it pays to look for a model with a lot of equipment.

BMW Z4

BMW’s Z4 stands out from the other models by being a 2-seater convertible. The model is therefore not as practical as the others, but on the other hand more sporty and with a completely different design. The model is known for having fantastic and sharp driving characteristics, which are a joy when you sit behind the wheel. If you do not need the rear seats, you should therefore consider leasing a BMW Z4.

Porsche Boxster

The Porsche Boxster is in a different category from the other models, and also at the more expensive end. Porsche introduced a new Boxster in 2012, for which there is now a larger market.
The model from 2012 is incredibly praised and, for example, FDM described the car as a superb model that can be compared to Porsche’s 911. If you are thinking about leasing, the model can be considered for a seasonal lease, so that it is more approachable in terms of price.
